Some pictures and Google's evilness

So tired recently... just had an EMT midterm and tonz of Spanish hw due. Owellz, I uploaded some random pictures, some old pictures of my mom and relatives, and GOOGLE DON'T BE EVIL from TIME magazine. Seriously, Google, the web giant, agreed to censor itself for China, even though it was created for people to have good access to information to improve the world. If you search in google.cn, there will be 2 adorable cartoon figures, a tiny policeman and policewoman with friendly smiles, no noses (for some reason) and huge melting blue anime eyes, who are named Jingjing and Chacha (jingcha is Mandarin for police), and they are there to remind web surfers to behave themselves because the Internet cops are always watching. This is just great! China's web surfers have a choice: they can use slow, relatively uncensored Google.com or speedy, sanitized Google.cn. But I guess 30,000 internet police probably cannot keep the 4 million bloggers under scrutiny; sooner or later the government is going to lose the war. The government should get over the fact that the future of the People's Republic hangs on a bunch of search results... I guess getting a foothold in the Chinese market allows Google to survive another 20 years because of its 111 million internet users; this just means one thing: there can be only one kind of company, the kind that makes $$. Even Google, of its snowy-white brand identity, chose to dance with the dragon.
